“This is my second A7X tattoo, and probably the most meaningful one. It’s inspired by the one Jimmy had on his left shoulder. I always loved it, and I had wanted to get a deathbat tattooed for a while, but I didn’t want the logo itself, I wanted a concept of it. Once Jimmy passed, I felt like I had to do it, I couldn’t wait anymore. I had the lines done about two weeks after Jimmy left this world, and it took two more sit downs to finish it. Not only do I love how it ended up looking, but it helped me incredibly to deal with the loss and to stop suffering and crying. Now I really feel like he’s on my shoulder, coming with me everywhere I go. Ever since It was finished, it’s like it all stopped hurting. I still miss him, of course, but it’s different now. I’m able to remember him without getting sad, ‘cause it’s like he never really left; he’s right here with me (pretty cheesy, I know haha).

A few months ago (on april 2011) I got to meet Brian, Matt and Johnny and I got to show it to them. They all instantly recognized the connection to Jimmy’s tattoo, and told me they loved it. That made my life, I swear to god. I also got to show it to Jason Berry, and we ended up talking a while about Jimmy. It was awesome to say the least. 

I have one more A7X tattoo, but I don’t have a very good picture of it. I’ll submit as soon as I take one (:”
